Noticias de la Robotica

DEKA

La DEKA es capaz de manipular objetos tan delicados como huevos y uvas, y también manejar herramientas que necesitan ser sujetadas con bastante fuerza física para controlarlas, como por ejemplo un taladro eléctrico.

Robot Spot

“I think a robot like Spot has tons of opportunities [Marines] could use it for, like scouting or load carriage,” DARPA roboticist Ben Swilling said. “Robots can’t get shot and they can’t die. If you need to send someone into danger’s way, you don’t want anyone to get hurt.”

X 125 Series II de oc rabots

As it demonstrates its incredible ability to precisely follow a pre-determined path while seemingly hanging in mid-air, OC Robotics' Series II - X125 system snakebot is also doing a really good job at being incredibly unsettling. Especially for those of us who hate snakes (robotic or real) and now realize there's pretty much no place left for us to hide from them.

Robot Sepios

Sepios is a student project at ETH Zürich. Its aim is to design a hightech nautical robotwith undulating fins, allowing for omnidirectional locomotion capabilities.

Robot Raptor

Roboraptor is a robotic toy invented by Mark Tilden and distributed by Wow Wee Toys International. It is the successor to the RoboSapien robot and uses motion technology based on realistic biomechanics that give it fluid and natural movements. It has a multi-function remote control that uses infrared technology to talk to it. Unlike the originalRoboSapien, the Roboraptor is capable of autonomous movement, using 3 realistic gaits.

Robot Tiago

Robot Hector

Hector, the stick insect-inspired robot built by a research team at Bielefeld University in Germany that we first covered in 2011, could be forgiven for feeling lonely as the only one of its kind in world, but has lately been too busy learning to walk to worry on its unique status. It is hoped that Hector, which stands for Hexapod Cognitive autonomously Operating Robot, will benefit not only roboticists but also biologists interested in animal movement.

Slack Bot

"Slackbot Bot" is a hi-tech robot that helps out with important office tasks around the office.

He’s made from a Raspberry Pi running Node.js and a Spark Core (arduino) and a tornado siren. He is activated by simply posting commands in Slack. We mapped our office with beacons which he uses to guide himself around the office.

Robot Jibo

Is considered one of the front-runners in the field of social robotics, which aims to create robots that we can communicate naturally with and that fit within expected societal roles.

Jibo has a swiveling display for a head and a free-axis base. He includes a camera that can employ facial tracking in order to follow you around as you move. Jibo will stand roughly 11-inches tall and weigh six pounds.

Parrot Bebop Drone

Its feather-weight ABS reinforced structure (400g) makes Parrot Bebop Drone robust and safe. In the event of any collision, the propellers stop automatically. The emergency mode allows the drone to land immediately. Thanks to a GPS system, a Return Home function brings the Bebop drone easily back to its take-off point. Finally, EPP hulls included in the pack makes indoor flights safer.
